The Fastest in the business
In the time it takes other LIMS Vendor consultants to prepare a set of specifications telling you how they will develop their screens and forms to accommodate your requirements, Lims1 consultants will have provided you with a fully functional Pilot System based on these requirements. All of this is done using sets of standard Lims1 Setup Tables including a built-in Report Format Generator.
A Lims1 Pilot System is developed using examples of Laboratory Certificates and other information related to laboratory clients samples login, types of analysis and reporting. Setup Tables are then developed and used to log example samples into the system (Job Registrations), enter results of analysis and create Reports for the types of analysis established.
From this point Lims1 Consultants review the Pilot System with laboratory management to resolve any outstanding issues, proceed with staff training and proceed with on-going system development.
As the Pilot System is based on actual laboratory operations it provides an excellent training tool and basis for on-going development. Staff are trained in methods used to develop the Pilot System with examples provided. New types analysis are created adding testing, methods, User Data Fields and other setup tables as required. At the end of the exercise the laboratory takes full control of the system.
System Use and Flexibility
Without custom development processes provided by other LIMS Vendors is Lims1 capable of handling our range of complex LIMS requirements? This is a question often posed and the short answer is Yes.
A review of Lims1 installation sites demonstrates a very wide range of laboratory types and sizes currently using the system. All of these sites use Application Programs and database structures which are common to all Lims1 users. A major advantage of this approach is in providing support services, low maintenance costs and ease of system upgrades.
A number of these sites also use sets of Lims1 Custom Applications for specific (unique to the laboratory) purposes such as import/export of corporate client data, laboratory sample processing and linkage to other laboratory software. In these cases the applications are developed by Lims1 program developers and directly linked to the core system for use, providing the best of two worlds.
